Cage Unit

Time to get to know Barnes & Jones: the newest company to join the SupplyHouse.com family.

Barnes & Jones was founded in 1897 by Walter Barnes and Bill Jones.  These two engineers teamed up with a mission to reinvent steam heating systems for the better, starting with the design and layout of the central pipe systems in Boston, New York, and Chicago in 1902.  Nearly 30 years later, after years of wear and tear, the original traps began to lose efficiency and fail.  Taking full advantage of this opportunity, Barnes & Jones reinvented the steam trap system and broke through the central steam heating industry with their innovative Cage Unit.

The Cage Unit is a one piece, calibrated repair unit initially created to fix age-worn thermostatic traps.  Now, the Cage Unit is recognized as the standard in steam heating repairs and is the sole Calibrated Cage Unit insert for all heating steam traps on the market.   Starting from just a few American cities, the Cage Unit is currently available in North America, South America, Central America, and most of Europe.

Better yet, this amazing product repairs devices from other brands and manufacturers.  For example, a Cage Unit can repair Radiator Steam Traps for brands like Illinois, Hoffman, Armstrong, and Watts.  Barnes & Jones also produces their own line of Radiator, Float, and Thermostatic Steam Traps, giving you a variety of options for all of your alternative energy needs.
