National Random Acts of Kindness Day was on Sunday, February 17th this year, but at we celebrated it on Friday, February 15th. In our New York office, we broke up into 10 groups, and each group was given a $100 budget. From there, we had to decide what our random act of kindness would be. Some groups donated blankets and supplies to animal shelters or food and clothing to the homeless. Others decided to walk around stores and hand out gift cards to shoppers or pay for someone’s bill at a restaurant. No matter what each group did, though, we all ended the day by feeling like we had made a difference in our community. By giving back, we changed someone else’s life, and that impact is priceless.
