Fix Kinks in PEX

It’s possible to kink PEX tubing if you bend it too tightly.  When using PEX-B or PEX-C grade pipe you will normally want to cut the affected piece of tubing out of the line and replace it with a coupling, depending on the severity of the kink. With PEX-A, heat can be used to fix the kink (watch our video below for a step-by-step guide).  In the absence of a heat gun, a hair dryer can be used, but the process will take longer and may not be as effective.  PEX-A provides the additional benefits of greater flexibility, added freeze protection, and compatibility with expansion-type fittings.
