For the first half of New York’s core values weeks we took on a gamut of themed activities that highlighted individual Core Values. Easing into it, we loosened up with some group Yoga for Flexibility. If you’ve been keeping up with the other locations’ activities you know this is a popular one but if you haven’t I have conveniently included links to the other blog posts at the bottom of this post. Week two we celebrated Teamwork with group costume contest, a Mario themed decor building contest, and a surprisingly difficult puzzle. Pro Tip: Don’t make a custom puzzle with a large section of it being a plain, blue sky. Education week came next where members of our team volunteered to teach classes that ranged from personal tax returns and Microsoft Excel to Frisbee and survival fire starting. This week rounded off with a company wide Jeopardy event with SupplyHouse.com themed questions. During Respect week we brought in professional motivational speakers to give a respect themed presentation. Rounding off the first five weeks we practiced Giving Back by volunteering at a local soup kitchen, a nursing home and rehab center, and Pal-O-Mine Horse Therapy. Pal-O-Mine is an organization that facilitates a therapeutic horse riding program for people with disabilities. One half down, one to go. What will the next weeks hold? We don’t know but we are excited for them. Check out what we’ve done already in the slideshow below!
Our Core Values are what we have built our company on since day one. We hold them to great importance here, so much so that every year we take time to explore and celebrate each one individually. This results in a company focused on success and a happy team of employees powering the company. See these results for yourself at SupplyHouse.com. When it comes to plumbing, heating, and HVAC products we’ve got what you need.
