Ever find a “fix” that is more of a issue than the original problem? Have you ever come across someone else’s handiwork and wonder, “What were they thinking?” Has that handiwork ever been your own? Everyone makes silly mistakes that lead to ridiculously ineffective solutions to simple problems. Sometimes people purposely choose to solve a problem in a new and impractical fashion. The only thing to do is laugh, take a picture, and redo the fix. Lucky for us many people have done just that. Popular crowd sourced website, Reddit.com, has a community built around sharing these pictures call DiWHY. From particleboard car mods to misguided attempts at home decor, it’s got everything. So without further ado, here are 5 great DiWHY “fixes.”
This door lock tries its best, but just wasn’t put in a position to succeed.
You know what? A bucket is totally just as good as properly working plumbing.
“They didn’t have a a 4-gang wall plate, but they had a two and two ones! That’ll work right?”
I hate it when people cut corners…
Now this is just silly. Who would ever make this, not to mention spend money on one? Well, a stove-fridge combo does sound pretty convenient. But for $25! Actually that’s not too bad of a deal. Maybe I should pick one up, just in case I want to throw a BBQ in the spring.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these as much as I enjoyed finding them. If you want to see more of the insanity check out Reddit.com/r/DiWHY and if you know a plumbing, heating, or HVAC job like these that needs to be fixed for real, stop by our site, SupplyHouse.com.
